Melanie Crawford PhD
Melanie Crawford, Ph.D. is a Nevada Licensed Psychologist specializing in the neuropsychological assessment of children and adolescents.
Dr. Crawford received her doctorate in Child Clinical Psychology and Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Denver. While at the University of Denver, she worked for several years at the Developmental Neuropsychology Clinic conducting learning disability and neuropsychological evaluations of children and adolescents. She was also a member of a nationally known neuropsychology research laboratory that studied children and families who have problems with dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and autism. She completed her internship in Child Clinical Psychology at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine.
Before opening her private practice in 2006, Dr. Crawford was a faculty member of the Psychology Department at the University of Nevada, Reno. She has also worked as a psychotherapist at Renown Hospital's Behavioral Health Child and Family Center as well as at the University of Nevada's Counseling Services.
Dr. Crawford is a faculty member of the Nevada Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (NvLEND) program, which is based in the Nevada Center for Excellence in Disabilities at the University of Nevada. She has also served as the 2013-2014 President of the Nevada Psychological Association.
