THEORY & PRACTICE

Elysse Kompaniez-Dunigan, PhD is a Nevada Licensed Psychologist. She provides treatment and assessment to children, adolescents, and their families. Dr. Kompaniez-Dunigan received her doctorate degree in cognitive neuroscience from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) in 2014. Following the completion of her degree, she respecialized in clinical psychology through Fielding Graduate University. She completed her internship in clinical psychology at UNR’s Counseling Center. Her post-doctoral fellowship was completed at Theory & Practice with a specialization in child clinical neuropsychology.  The integration of science and practice, informed by her foundation in cognitive neuroscience, is core to her clinical work. 

Prior to her respecialization in clinical psychology, Dr. Kompaniez-Dunigan co-authored several peer reviewed articles, was the co-director of the Special Populations Database through the Department of Psychology’s Center for Integrative Neuroscience, and completed the Nevada Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (NvLEND) program.  She continues to serve as a member on the Nevada Psychological Association’s Northern Regional Board.
